The York District Merit Badge College is a program opportunity produced by the District Advancement Committee to encourage Boy Scouts to pursue Merit Badges with qualified Merit Badge Counselors that are normally difficult to pursue or unique in some regard. The College brings together Merit Badge Counselor faculty with interested Scouts from across York District in a regular meeting period over the course of the semester.

The College is offered over four Thursday evenings from February through May. Each night is structured to offer 2 Merit Badge periods--one from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and the other from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. The final session is scheduled for May 10. All instruction will take place at Sanford High School, Sanford, ME. Be sure to enter at the cafeteria door entrance. Snow dates will be announced on the District Website at http://www.yorkdistrict.org. A standard rule of practice is that if the Sanford School District has school cancelled or curtailed, the Merit Badge College for that night is also cancelled and the snow date goes into effect.
